Tova Lund

Tova Lund

From the first time we saw it, we found Minnesota jewelry artist Tova Lund’s work to be completely fascinating.  Jewelry as small sculpture, or jewelry as poetry that you can see and touch?  You decide.

Tova says “By combining an aesthetic that is both organic and industrial, I mediate the contradictions and similarities between natural and created landscapes. I look at architecture and geology, things new and old, and use forms, patterns, and materials that appear in different types of environments. By emulating these forms with stone or recycled tin, my work plays with familiar abstraction. I enjoy the ambiguity of abstraction that can turn one thing into another, allowing perception to become fluid.”

Tova’s work was featured in the June/July 2013 issue of American Craft.
