For more than 25 years, designer and painter Lori Bacigalupi has created elegant, wearable art pieces, developing a devoted national following for her Kiss of the Wolf line. At her studio in Norman, OK, Lori and her team apply direct dye, batik, silk screen and shibori techniques to the exotic silks used for their beautifully finished silk jackets, shawls and other hand constructed garments.

Flexibility, sensuality and comfort are essential to Lori when creating her work. Grand Hand staff member Jan Painter, a longtime Kiss of the Wolf collector, states that she is drawn to the timeless quality of the designs. Jan owns some of Lori’s earliest works and continues to add new pieces to her wardrobe, appreciating the artist’s continued creativity and the fact that her work offers simple, clean lines appropriate for all ages.
