Danielle Gori-Montanelli

Danielle Gori-Montanelli, who began her career as a painter, now “paints” with felt, combining colors and forms in her fanciful, wearable art. Her first foray into jewelry involved metalwork, but, after becoming a mother, she was concerned about the dangerous materials involved and found that working with fiber was a more comfortable way to realize her designs.

The artist is based in Fairfield, CT and has exhibited her work at the Smithsonian Craft Show, the Philadelphia Museum of Art Craft Show and at Sculpture Objects & Functional Art Fair(SOFA), New York and Chicago.
