Denver artist Sharon Schaffner has been designing and making metal jewelry for over 30 years. Her interest in exploring the world’s cultures is evidenced in her work. Pieces from her Faces series feature expressive visages worked in brushed sterling silver with brass wire trim, often with natural stone accents. Originally inspired by the Native sculpture of the Northwest Coast, Sharon finds design ideas in art and stories encountered on her travels, as she did on a recent stint teaching crafts in Belize.
