Sydney Lynch

Sydney Lynch found her passion for jewelry as a young girl in Connecticut, rummaging through her grandmother’s stash of costume pieces. As a college student at the University of Colorado, she was introduced to silversmithing while working on a Navajo reservation. After completing her degree, she spent 10 years as a jewelry artist in Boulder before settling in Lincoln, NE, where she has established her current studio.

The artist’s designs are inspired by her collection of rock and shell specimens, familiar landscapes, prairie flowers and her study of ancient and tribal jewelry forms. Sydney’s process involves color play with stones and mixed metals. In addition to her designer line, where the focus is on oxidized sterling silver and 18 karat and 22 karat gold, the artist creates one-of-a-kind pieces incorporating pearls, diamonds and other precious and semi-precious stones. Her work is featured at galleries throughout the country and at national expositions including CraftBoston and the Sculptural Objects and Fine Art (SOFA) show in New York.
