Myung Urso

Myung Urso makes sculptural contemporary jewelry using sterling silver, handmade papers, gold leaf and other materials. Highly sought after by jewelry collectors, her work has been exhibited at galleries across the country and in several highly regarded craft shows including the Smithsonian Craft Show (in Washington, DC) and the Philadelphia Museum Show.

Myung began her artistic career when she worked as an editor and reporter at the Monthly Art & Craft magazine (Design-House Ltd.), in Seoul Korea from from 1988 to 1993. Myung spent five years in London, England where she studied Museum and Gallery Management at City University and worked for the Visiting Arts division in British Council Headquarters. In 1998 she opened ‘Hand and Mind’ contemporary craft gallery/store and a craft store located in Seoul, which operated through 2005.
