Virginia Randolph Bueide records, with acrylics on canvas and wood panel, her impressions of city and country landscape, gardens and interiors. Her current work is influenced by life in Minnesota and by stays in France and Italy; it is distinguished by an exuberant use of color and the artist’s sense of play.
Ginny attended the Minneapolis School of Art (now Minneapolis College of Art and Design) and graduated from Barat College in Lake Forest, IL. Over the years, she has maintained studios in New York and Los Angeles, and has participated in invitational shows and solo exhibitions in the Twin Cities since the 1960s. The artist, now based in Bloomington, MN, has shown recent work in group exhibitions at the Plains Art Museum in Fargo and at the Duluth Art Institute. Her work is represented in the collections of the Minneapolis Institute of Arts, the College of St. Catherine in St. Paul, General Mills, and the Plains Art Museum, among many others.
