In 2008, woodworker Bill Bolstad celebrated 50 years of “making sawdust.” In 1958, he sold his first birdhouse. He now specializes in jewelry boxes and award-winning furniture pieces.

When we met this Jefferson, OR artist, we found that he used to live in the Grand Hand neighborhood! After earning his master’s degree in industrial education at Iowa State University, Bill taught in the St. Paul schools for 9 years.
