Eugene Watson

Eugene Watson’s interest in woodworking began in childhood and was influenced by his father and grandfather. After a career designing electronics components for the “black boxes” used in airplanes, he chose to pursue woodworking professionally as it gave him a chance to express his creativity in beautiful pieces that are realized in a relatively short period of time. Eugene is now recognized nationally and internationally for his innovative boxes. In 1997, the artist moved his studio from Chicago to Pueblo West, CO, where he breathes fresh mountain air, enjoys milder temperatures, and listens to the wildlife while he works.
