Monkey Flower Group

The monkey flower group Mimulus is a diverse plant genus with over 150 species, from humble weeds to frilly ornamental hybrids.

The Monkey Flower Group is also Jaime Giorgi (a floral designer in Napa, California) and the neighbors who provide the plant materials that make her arrangements unique, beautiful, and evocative of the season and landscape.

Before returning to her native California in June 2010, Giorgi consulted for Stray Cat Flower Farm, a socially and environmentally progressive grower of specialty cut flowers in Burlington, Vermont. Before that she worked and learned as a designer at Winston Flowers, one of Boston’s most respected florists. Even before that she earned her bachelor’s degrees in economics and anthropology, both with a focus on agriculture, from Grinnell College in Iowa. During her college years she worked and interned on chicken, beef, apple, and alpaca farms (designing flowers on the side all the while).

Giorgi relished her time exploring different parts of the country, but is thrilled to be back home in Napa.
