October = Opal & Tourmaline

Lets get in the spirit of the Autumn season with some beautiful jewelry pieces that are warm and vibrant! Looking at the 2012 fall fashion trends, these are the HOT colors for this COOL season according to Pantone©.

Honey Gold: Jewelry artist Stephen Vincent just sent us some amazing 18ky gold studs with a whopping 2.72ct worth of rose cut Cognac diamonds. The studs are substantial yet light weight and feature a very secure backing mechanism. Wear them every day with your favorite sweater or dress up your little black dress.

Pink Flambé: This bright and sassy color can be found in our pink Tourmaline cocktail rings by Minneapolis artist Karin Jacobson, a great gift idea for an October birthday.

Tangerine Tango: This versatile Fire Opal piece by Collection 522 can be worn as a bracelet, choker, or even a headband. This fiery piece has dozens of opals strung together on a stretchy woven stainless steel thread, so you can stretch it out to wear as a necklace, then scrunch it back up to bracelet size. Amazing!

Ultramarine Green: This oxidized sterling silver ring is by Minnesota artist Mel Tudisco. She has transferred her love of painting copper wall art to her jewelry line, and it looks fantastic!

Bright Chartreuse: Minneapolis jeweler Emily Johnson creates wonderful work with simple designs and classic materials. These Twig earrings are made from oxidized sterling silver and bright green Peridot

Olympian Blue: One of our favorite new artists at the Grand Hand in the past year has been jewelry artist Jennifer Merchant. Her work utilizes layered acrylic and found imagery from fashion and art magazines. This bright blue bangle is the perfect punch of color for your fall wardrobe.

Titanium: Minneapolis jeweler Stephen Vincent has been working with stainless steel for years, and this stainless steel and pave Diamond ring is one of his classic pieces.

Rhapsody: Grand Hand staple Margaret Dittrich has worked with Australian Opals for years, and this new stunning pendant features a beautiful pale purple Chalcedony, purple Sapphires, and a pink Diamond

Rose Smoke: Margaret Dittrich also created this wonderful pale pink Keshi pearl necklace. The subtle hues and slight twist on the classic strand of pearls gives this an updated and polished look.
