American Craft Week

The Grand Hand celebrates AMERICAN CRAFT WEEK: OCTOBER 5 – 14, 2012

American Craft Week brings together individuals, small businesses and organizations from all fifty states in recognition of the countless ways that handmade objects enrich our daily lives and contribute to our national aesthetic, economy and the fabric of our national history. Craft is original, beautiful and enduring, so let’s tell the world! American Craft Week is a project of Craft Retailers & Artists for Tomorrow (CRAFT). Find more information at

THIS JUST IN: During American Craft Week in St. Paul, we are screening a sneak peak of the upcoming Crossroads episode of the PBS series Craft in America! The Midwest Potters segment looks at influences in the development of studio ceramics in the region and features Grand Hand artist Jason Trebs. New work from Jason arrives this week for the opening of NEW TRADITIONS, Friday, October 12 from 5-7 PM.

Join us at The Grand Hand St. Paul for our annual Ceramics Makeover!
Come in any time during American Craft Week for this special opportunity to upgrade to American handmade ceramics: just bring in any one piece of imported, mass-produced ceramics and we will give you 25% off a comparable handmade piece from the gallery with an original price of $150 or less (a mug for a mug, a soup bowl for a soup bowl, etc.)
