Mary Anne began a lifetime of nature observation during childhood summers at her grandparents’ Wisconsin farm. Now a Deephaven, MN artist and gardener, her painting is an ongoing expression of her appreciation for the natural world.
For many years, Mary Anne studied oil painting in the Artelier method before gravitating to watercolor. In 2001, she began formal study with Marilyn Garber at the Minnesota School of Botanical Art where she is now an instructor. A regular participant in the Lake Minnetonka Art Crawl, Mary Anne also exhibits her work in juried exhibitions nationwide.
