Brenna is a second generation silversmith who lives and works in South Minneapolis, MN. Inspired while accompanying her parents – Duke Klassen and La Des Glanzer – to art fairs across the country as a child, Brenna began working on her own designs at their studio in 2004. The artist, who holds a degree in environmental science from the University of Minnesota, uses sheet silver and copper to create contemporary jewelry pieces, drawing cues from seeds, pods, shells and other natural forms. Her work incorporates a variety of textures, combined metals and hollow-form construction techniques. Brenna integrates organic forms with a modern design sensibility to give her work an untamed yet elegant quality.
