“We are a husband and wife team – he turns wood, she throws pots, sometimes we even work together.”
Patrick uses a lathe and local wood from downed trees to create bowls, round boxes, honey dippers and more. After selecting and forming wood to highlight the natural grain’s beauty, he finishes the surface to attain a soft shine using all natural finishes. He occasionally creates metal brands to burn patterns onto the surface or insets glass accents.
Jessica works with blended porcelain clay, either throwing it on a potters wheel or hand-building small useful items. Surfaces are decorated with colorful hand-painted designs inspired by Scandinavian folk art and mid-century textile design.
All wares are created in their home studios in St. Paul, MN. Their other interests include going on adventures in an Airstream travel trailer with daughter Ava, collecting and building guitars & amps, doing crossword puzzles, enjoying lattes, and fly fishing.
