Project Description

Kari Weber’s work conveys a visual story of places in the middle of nowhere. Her color combinations and movement tell stories of working agricultural spaces. Kari also hopes to show the smallness of humanity and the largeness of nature through her work. “The idea of landscape, and the stories that go with it, have always been something personal to me but what I’ve recently realized is that the places I paint aren’t really just mine. They are definitely shared and are part of the conversation of rural community.”

Kari earned her BFA at the University of MN, Moorhead with a degree in both painting and a teaching. When not teaching or parenting, she is painting in her home studio in New London, MN. She is married and has two sons and two unruly pets.
